Adam and Laureen Sherwood
Between our two strong personalities and getting married later in life, we were in for quite the ride! We felt ill-equipped to manage our blowups on our own. Randy and Lesli helped us learn how to listen empathetically to one another, taught us the value of oneness in marriage, and encouraged and prayed for us all along the way. They didn't provide us with the answers; they helped us discover them on our own ... it's really empowering to come up with your own ways of working through conflict. Because of God's grace and the gift of Randy and Lesli, we're stronger and better equipped to forgive and love one another well, as God intended.

FRP has eqiupped us with tools for discipling our own children. They go to a great school, and are a part of vibrant, healthy church. But the meat of their spiritual formation happens at home. Family School gave us a plan, a pattern and a support system from which to engage each of our children with great tools, experiences and adventures to help our home thrive and our family flourish.

We are incredibly grateful for the teachings of the Bixbys. Their profound insights and practical tools for effective communication and trust deeply resonated with us. As introverts, we realized there were many thoughts and emotions left unexpressed in our day-to-day lives. Randy and Lesli taught us the art of empathetic listening. We discovered the importance of truly hearing and understanding one another's needs.
